This is gorgeous, Anton Pearson on Grain Edit today.
The type looks fantastic so big and moving around the contours and corners of the wall really give it life. So much stronger than a typographic poster.

Love drawings by Yves Saint Laurent. Postcards on a friend’s fridge.

First time I’ve seen these drawings but a quick search shows old Yves did loads of them. Such a beautiful and simple style mixing type, image and colour brilliantly.

Reminds of work by these dudes - Honet, Steven Harrington, Parra.

“We do not stop playing because we grow old.
We grow old because we stop playing.”
Spotted this great quote on a shop window.

Haunch of Venison gallery branding by Marque. Really nice logo and lots of good work on Marque’s site.

The building also features ‘swastika’ style elements in the architecture. It is good to see this mark in a positive and classic sense and remember it has meaning far beyond the Nazi subversion.

Soviet architecture exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts. Didn’t go in because the queue for tickets was massive because of the Degas exhibition. The bonus was that a replica of Tatlin’s tower was in the courtyard. Great example of pre-Stalinist Soviet imagination.

The names have been changed to protect the guilty…

Or to consolidate the burgeoning ‘LE MIKE’ brand (yes, I am the new Stuart Baggs!).

Anyway, I’ve changed the name of this blog so the address is jesuislemike.tumblr.com, please feel free to update links or just continue as you were using dashboard.

Over and out.
